Memories lay treasured

Deep in my heart and mind

Happy days of long ago

Many joys left behind.

Precious people that I love

Misplaced along the way

Those memories never leave me

They are with me every day.

One moment is all that it takes

To bring back what use to be

Just like foot prints in the sand

Their mark was left on me.

So many wonderful memories

Close my eyes the faces I see

Buried deep inside my heart

They will always be with me.

Raising each one of my children

Friends and relatives no longer here

And those remaining with me

Have become so very dear.

I thank God for His blessings

As I kneel each night and pray

For my precious friends and family

Each and every day.
