I saw a lovely shinning star
One dark and lonely night
I thought of all its brilliance
As the sparkle was so bright.

A feeling suddenly came to me
As it became so clear
The beauty of a lovely star
Like your friendship is so dear.

In the depth of darkness
Only one star I could see
Like you were out there somewhere
Looking down at me.

I had to express my feelings
In this message that I send
That you are thought of day and night
