God Bless you our special hero's

Our troops far and near

As we celebrate with our families

This special time of year.

Never think for one moment

That we do not understand

The sacrifice you are making

Many in a foreign land.

The fear that you must live each day

The many sleepless nights

Things that you will never forget

As you pursue our American rights.

Precious lives gone forever

Destroyed because of war

Maimed bodies as well as minds

Sometimes we wonder what for?

And yet in our heart we know

You fight to keep us free

May God Bless you and keep you safe from harm

Until home one day you will be.

As we celebrate our holiday

With family as Christmas draws near

May God Bless you this Christmas

And bring you home for a Happy New Year.
