See the lovely shamrocks
And bits of evergreen
A day of wonderful magic
When leprechauns can be seen.

A figment of imagination?
See him dance beside that wall?
Just celebrate the Irish
Enjoy one an all.

It should come in April
Or maybe even May
When everything is truly green
I mean St Patrick's Day.

But it really doesn't matter
When we celebrate the day
As long as we remember friends
In a special Irish way.
