Feel the hush of the evening

Quietness of the sky

Listen!  Night sounds in yonder space

Magical to the necked eye.

The hollow night surrounds me

A whispered breeze in the air

And a sky full of angel dust

With a glorious moon shining there.

Sounds of nature alerts my ears

Songs are played without words

It's times like this I feel close to God

Emotions never felt occurs.

This is not a normal poem

Like the ones I write each day

The words say a lot about God's special gift

He wants me to express it this way.

It is so strange to speak of things

That are mysterious and hard to explain

Yet I know it's the way He intended

As He did sun and the rain.

So enjoy the sunshine of the day

The sparkling stars at night

For the universe belongs to Him

And He made it exactly right.
