The essence of a lovely lake

The beauty of the sky

Creatures run, hop and play

As I watch the day go by.

So thankful am I of many things

My life span has enjoyed

Family, home and friendship

Always filled the empty void.

As we grow older I'm sure you know

Life's values seem to say

Enjoy all this while you can

There may not be another day.

I am not being morbid

The truth I tell is much

Know that I feel the presence

 Of His dear and gentle touch.

Life is a gift so special

To each of us you know

So spread your wealth of kindness

Everywhere you go.

 Sending forth my love today

As I think of you

And in a moment of your time

Remember me too.
