Another night of
chilling fear
Standing guard
all alone
Not a soul
seemed to be stirring
There was fear
of the unknown.
Not a sign of
Christmas anywhere
No gifts or
Christmas tree
Darkness of
night was lurking
The enemy was
hard to see.
Santa won't
visit this place tonight
A soldier stands
guard brave and true
With fear in his
eyes so determined
Protecting
me and you.
Tired from his
daily task
With no end in
sight
Yet standing
there all alone
When needed
ready to fight.
As we lay safe
in our cozy bed
Christmas lights
shining so bright
Gaily wrapped
gifts just waiting
As our hero's
guard us each night.
There won't be a
tree or presents this day
Christmas carols
you will not hear
Let us pray our
hero's will celebrate
Christmas with
their families next year.
God Bless Each
Of You!
