God of mercy, God of hope
Shine your light on me
Guide me from all darkness
Your face I can clearly
see.
The love that shines in
your eyes
As I rise from the depth of
despair
The touch of your tender,
loving hand
Tells me how much you care.
I have waited so long
dearest Father
As I stumble along each
day
Praying that you will surely come
And show me the lighted
way.
You know I am ready to
serve you
Just as you want me to
I will follow you
forever
In all things you guide me
to do.
Take this loving heart I
give
A Heavenly glow that I see
The glory of God is upon me
