Are we too old to feel excitement
When we decorate our Christmas tree
Should we forget the cookies
Or celebrate as it use to be?

Are we too busy to enjoy
The Christmas candle glow
Do we not enjoy the Christmas gifts
Pine and mistletoe?

Should we ignore the carols
Forget to be merry and jolly
Shun the decorations
The eggnog and holly?

I doubt we'll ever grow too old
To love the seasons magic
If we didn't have Christmas
It really would be tragic.

So buy up the candy canes
The happiness and the cheer
Merry Christmas to one and all
And a Very Happy New Year!
