The most precious gift that we receive

Is a child to cherish and protect

To love and guide them as they grow

Into adults, is what we expect.

This does not sometimes happen

Because of vile and twisted minds

Remember our world is made up

Of not only good but evil kinds.

We send our children off to school

Expect them to be safe and learn

The thought of them never returning home

Should not be a concern.

Predators stalk our children

They could be young and sometimes older

Not always hiding their actions

And today becoming bolder.

How do we protect our children?

How do we keep them safe from harm?

We can't lock them up in the safety of their homes

Can you imagine the alarm?

Yet as we send them off each day

We bid them goodbye and pray

Please send them back home safely

Thankful they made it one more day.

I write this poem and plead to those

That receive my words today

Take whatever action we need to take

Keep our children out of harms way.

Screen the contacts more thoroughly

Background checks are a must

Adults and even classmates

Are not always those we can trust.

Pray each day for our children

Dearest gifts from God above

Ask Him to protect and guide them

With His ever enduring love.

I dedicate this special page

To all children who fell in harms way

They will be forever in our hearts

Each and every day.

Please help all the dear families

Who's children are in Heaven above

Know God has enfolded them in His arms

And showered them with His love.

For those who survived but suffered

God will heal your body and mind

We pray for you and your family

May peace in His love you will find.

Dedicated to all of our precious children and a very

special dedication to those children who have died

or been harmed by evil forces.  May God bless them
