I look into the mirror

And what do I see

Someone kind and pretty

Just like I want to be.

I know that I'm not pretty

And don't think I'm always kind

But I see a face I recognize

And I think it could be mine.

Maybe in time with patience

With a lot of work and love

God will unfold His magic

From Heaven up above.

I've always wanted to be pretty

Inside my heart I mean

Be kind, gentle and loving

You know?  Not to the extreme.

I'll work real hard, make lots of friends

Do unto other's as they do unto me

That beautiful face in the mirror

May be my face someday that I see.
