By
night when others soundly slumber
I lay in my bed at rest
Eyes wide open, no where near sleep
Is when I think of Him my best.
I whisper a prayer of love to Him
So close I see His face
My heart reaches up for His tender love
By my bed He takes His place.
My starving soul is filled with good
In His heart He stores my fears
The smarting of His wounds I feel
My eyes overflow with tears.
What can I do for my Savior
Who has done so much for me?
I shall serve Him for as long as I live
And love Him through eternity.
