Summer quietly tip toed by
Autumn time is here
An array of color everywhere
Almost another year.

A slight crispness in the air
As mums stand tall in their beds
Pumpkins peek from the garden
See the tops of their orange heads.

Summer was a lot of fun
And now must take a rest
Give Mother Nature a chance to show
That she's eager to do her best.

Cover the pool, store all the toys
For school time has begun
Wrap up tight so you wont get sick
You can still have a lot of fun.

Sledding, skating and so much more
While Mother makes brownies and such
We all enjoyed the summer
But we like Autumn very much.
