Forgive me Father for I have strayed
From the path you made for me
My body is aching my faith is weak
Please set my wretched heart free.
Send me the words that I need
To survive this cruel, cruel life
Help me to be patient as I'd like to be
Deliver me from worry and strife.
Teach me thy worldly way dear Lord
Help me to learn to pray
So that I may thank you for every blessing
You bestow on me each day.
Help me endure the physical pain
Give me the strength I need
To follow in thy footsteps
Each day to do another good deed.
Make me less aware of myself
Make other's my main concern
Teach me to pray the prayer of love
So much dear Lord to learn.
So as you guide me day by day
My arms are open
wide
Bless me and
make me whole again
Please let me
walk by your side.
