Today I said a special prayer
For someone dear to me
Someone I think of every day
Even though I may not see.

Today I said a special prayer
That you will always know
How much I'll always love you
And I had to tell you so.

Thoughts of you each morning
And thoughts of you each night
When things are topsey turvey
Thinking of you make them all right.

I don't know how you do it
You have this special way
Of letting me know you love me
And I just have to say.

You are my very dearest son
So I want you to know
My love and prayers are with you
No matter where you go.
