Father Only In My Heart

I never knew you Father
Yet so dear you were to me
Someone I longed to hug and kiss
A face I cannot see.

When other's had their Father's
I only had my dreams
Of someone that could love me
So easy to do it seems.

Yet for me it never happened
I watched other's with their Dad's
So many tears that I have shed
It makes me very sad.

I may not know you Daddy
And you may not know me
I wonder about you on Father's Day
You mean the world to me.

Whatever the reason may be
That we must be apart
Happy Father's Day dear Daddy
Father Only In My Heart.
