Now the day is over

Quietness all around

Stillness of the very earth

Such beauty I have found.

Evening in its glory

Shades of copper far and wide

One thing would make it perfect

If you were by my side.

A lighthouse in the distance

The sun is dipping low

Surf brushes the sandy shoreline

A masterpiece all aglow.

Seagulls storm the waters

Searching for their prey

What a wonderful way to enjoy

The ending of each day.
