How innocent little
children can be
When dreaming about things
they cannot see
A lovely angel of stone
nearby
They watch her closely to
see if she can fly.
They sit bright eyed and
amused
Even though they may be
somewhat confused
So much they do not
understand
We must take each of them
by the hand.
Teach them of God and Heaven above
So they can grow faithful
and full of love
Teach of angels who watch
over them
To keep them safe and free
of sin.
Imagine the beauty of what
they can be
In their precious eyes only
good do they see
Imagination is a wonderful
thing
That a stature of an angel
can bring.
So little time to share
their dreams
They grow up much too fast
it seems
That angel of stone so
beautiful to see
To a child seems as real as
can be.
Little eyes sparkle, the
stories they spin
Making believe the angel's
a friend
Little do they know what
angels can do
For these little children
and also for you.
Don't underestimate a
little child
Some are quiet and some are
wild
But when it comes to
learning to believe
Little children are always
ready to received.
