What a wonderful day this is
Scent of winter in the air
Such a beautiful time of year
As we collect our winter fare.

The wood is chopped
And fireplace ready
The harsh wind blowing
Makes walking unsteady.

Especially thinking of you
This very first autumn day
Sending love and friendship
In this extra special way.
