The Day The Angels Cried

Will my tears ever stop?

Will the hurt go away?

So many wounded, so many died

On that cold and fateful day.

Faculty giving of themselves

Young people eager to learn

Each one happily starting their day

Without worry or concern.

Then someone sick and evil

Lurked the university grounds

In the early hours of the morning

There were many gunshot sounds.

The senseless death of so many

By the hands of one of their own

The place will never be the same

Their home away from home.

Some went to be with Jesus

The wounded will eventually heal

But the happiness they felt before that day

Will they ever again feel?

God bless those that have passed on

The wounded and the families I pray

Bless the whole Virginia Tech family

Be with them each and every day.

So hard to pick up the pieces

Each goal will eventually be met

Yet things will never be the same

For they will never forget.

God Bless Each And Every One

~Heal Their Broken Hearts~
