Every day as night drew near

Stood a house full of love and joy

A yard wide with lots of play

For each precious girl and boy.

The children was so happy

When night time would begin

Mother looks around and says

"Are all the children in?"

Many years have now passed by

The house full of love quiet in sleep

No more happy voices

Nor echoes of children's feet.

Memories lay in a lonely heart

Where happy times have been

Yet the sound of a Mother's voice

"Are all the children in?"

When time has come to leave this earth

And a life with God begins

There is a whisper that we hear

"Are all the children in?"
