Did you ask our Father why
He neglected to be at school
When our children needed Him the
most
How could HE be so cruel?
Maybe it all started
Many years ago
When a certain lady made a
complaint
Prayer in school just had to go.
And then someone else stated
School doesn't need bibles today
Because the bible says "Thou shall not
kill"
Or steal in any way?
"Love your neighbor as
yourself"
That's in the bible too
But wait one minute, forget
about that
Reading the bible is bad
for you.
Then there was a doctor
Who stated children should not
be spanked
When they may need punishing
The results to him we can thank.
We might damage their
personalities
or warp their self-esteem
Most thought he knew what he was
talking about
So the children freely went to
extreme.
Teachers and principals were
threatened
And so their hands were tied
Couldn't punish children that
misbehaved
Helpless they never tried.
Don't want bad publicity
And sure don't want to be sued
Better to let them do as they
wish
Put up with them being rude.
Now the entertainment industry
Decided to do their thing
Movies full of violence and
profanity
So much trash to our screens
they bring.
Some said, it's just
entertainment
Don't take it seriously OK?
And now we are asking God
Why aren't you with our children
each day?
We can't seem to understand
There are times some children
might stray
Just killing each other and even
themselves
Where is God some people might
say?
Well, let me tell you now my
friend
He is where He has tried to be
Standing at the door just
knocking
If we would only turn the key.
He can only be where He is
welcome
Put prayer and bibles in schools
it's a must
Take back our precious children
Let Him know IN GOD WE TRUST.
